The miracle - and i mean that literally in this case - is that the baby survived. Would be incredible to know that in 20 years he grew up into a healthy, happy adult... hopefully never being aware of what happened to him.

Cheers to that, Eric! I hope the poor child doesn't have lasting disabilities.

On yesterday's news I learned that a Toronto man renovating a home he'd just bought found a baby's corpse wrapped in newspapers between floors of the house. The newspapers were dated Sep 1925, but little else is known. One of the owners registered at that time (a married couple, I think) was eventually committed to a mental institution. She might have been responsible, or he, or the two of them.
