Remember the song "The Rhythm is Gonna Get You"? *LOL* Maybe we should all listen to "My Heart Will Go On" instead, just to be on the safe side.

One of my neighbors had a pacemaker failure (not due to these reasons) and died.

Debbyski: I'm guessing it was actually an implantable defibrillator that failed your neighbor and not a pacemaker. A pacemaker makes sure the heart keeps a steady beat. A defibrillator will give the heart shocks if it stops or goes way too fast. Guidant had a bunch of bad ICDs in patients a couple years ago.
