I have noticed some of the same phenomenon mentioned here myself. Many modern industrial nations are neither pure capitalism nor pure socialism. Certainly the recent Wall St. Socialism for the SuperRich shows that. Providing any benefits for the poor would show that. The thing that annoys me about the 'capitalistic talk,' here in the USA - especially right now -- is that they would like to deny that the Wall St. bailout is socialism and would still like to deny any such benefits being given to the Middle Class or poor. The other phenomena I noticed is that people post clips, and they tend to Pop the clips they like. What an absurd thing to object to. Isn't that what everybody does? I f... but once he's in office I don't expect to agree with everything he does at all; Another good comment, and I agree completely. In fact, I've sometimes said I intend to be the opposition party no matter who's in power. Because power separates people - and I want to be on the side of those who don't have it. I have felt for a year now that Obama's greatest strength was that he wasn't afraid to listen. I disagree with him on a number of issues - but I do believe that there is a chance with him that he will listen to and understand views that are not his own, and be open to modifying his own in order to create a better resolution. I think he's doing that even now on Colombia, and I find that hopeful.
