anonymology says: Is is wrong of me to in some ways believe that black people would be naturally less inclined to be bigoted because they've been on the receiving end of so much bigotry themselves? The above (granted it's only a sample of one) doesn't attest to this theory, but there you go... This is an expression of a common misunderstanding of bigotry, Anon. It isn't based in the chosen object of the bigotry, or in the racial or other externally based identity of the bigot, it's an expression of an aspect of human nature common to all. Like any other negative possibility of that human nature that one is subject to, one either succumbs to it or resists it and matures in the process. Victims are just as susceptible to becoming victimizers as not. Often it's a subconscious "payback" thing. But, anyway, what a gorgeous bigot. Aye, fair point. Aside from the gorgeous part - I've never been sure what that's about. GD, ugly goes all the way through. Apparently it wasn't clear that I was alluding to her physical beauty only. I only meant that, for me, her ugliness inside makes her outside ugly too. She is a bit of a bitch, there's no doubting it. I don't like the word "super-bigot", it makes it sounds like a twisted hero. o.O A friend had a huge hardback that he paid something like 100 bucks for that featured nothing but photos of her. It was published in her prime. It was amazing. Something good to keep in mind, by the way, is the possibility that this is entirely a case of someone looking for a nice fat pay-off and that none of this is true. haha, anon! I just noticed your fiercely annoying tag. Nice. You are right GD, I have no way of knowing if this is true or not. If it is... HA! Yes, 'fiercely annoying' contains anything to do with so-called celebrities! |
