Silkweaver says: I have read all mentioned books. Highly recommended and serious reading list. 'Complexity' is a great book and to it I'd add 'The Quark and the Jaguar' by Murray Gell-Mann, one of those featured in the description of the Santa Fe Institute. I am gonna set a goal to read at least 3 of these by next summer! Which one first? Any recs? I'd just say "Complexity" contains lots on economics, and may be interesting at the moment. The widest in perspective and most attractive in style and elegance is Godel, Escher, Bach. I would recommend it to be the first. Or alternatively a more challenging goal is to read two of them in parallel: G.E.B. on the background and another one in focus, At home in the universe, for example. Thank you both! |
