As a New Yorker, born and raised, I have followed the details of 9/11 very carefully. I have been appalled by all I have learned about Giuliani's failures on that awful day. And yet, his spin machine has worked at fooling the rest of the country into believing he was the big hero of the day.

This was a very difficult article to effectively clip, so I urge you to read the entire piece. It is important for people to begin getting the true story of Rudy the magnificent before they are fooled into making him their presidential candidate.

As a New Yorker, I tend to agree with you Zasel. The one thing i gave him so much credit for was that he appeared to be selfless in his efforts to do the right thing.

Nobody could be expected to know exactly how to handle a situation like 9/11. But he appeared to be doing his best and doing it for the benefit of everyone else.

But his "spin machine" as you called it, has completely ruined that perception for me. Anyone who positions and markets themselves as a hero is not a hero in my book.
