Now and then it will give you a poke when a cashier gives you too much change and you remain silent or you find a thingamajig tucked in the corner of your shopping cart after leaving the store, knowing it did not get a UPC scan and you take it with you anyway. The sad part of coming into a large sum of money is that the “ME” in us grows humongous and you can't spend the bankroll fast enough to accumulate all those baubles and doodads you believe poor little ole you have done without for so long. (More Below) No one should come into wealth while they are young; for sure it is a curse then. But if you received a pot of gold when you’re in your declining years, it could be a blissful event... Especially in the vanishing time you have left on Earth; for if you have aged gracefully you’ve gained wisdom along with those creaking bones, wrinkled skin and graying hair. It then allows you the realization that giving a helping hand to others less fortunate, will give you the most bang for your buck. It’s sad for those who believe satisfying that INSATIABLE “ME” will bring about happiness. It never has and it never will. Dignity and a humane spirit is the only means to contentment.
