If sensible legalization comes to pass a vast share of this should dry up and blow away. I seriously doubt it. It's become a huge business in all of Latin America. This can't be ignored much longer. I saw this this morning Mousie and thought of you. Cartels, the Mob and corrupt politicians. (sigh) My friend, who is originally from Mexico City said that most of the violence is gang-on-gang. Her father still lives in Mexico, near the border. He owns a large fenced "compound" with security personnel and two other families sharing the property. She still visits him, but she said she's afraid for her father's safety. He owns property in southern California, but he prefers to live with his lifetime friends. I saw a map on Glenn Beck that would blow your mind. It showed points in the U.S. where cartels had set up shop. The entire nation was covered with red dots, hundreds. Even Alaska. And apparently the Mexican mortuaries are overflowing. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,506836,00.html Oh, Michelle. That is sad. How and why do people keep doing this to each other. |
