If you do think you're a sex addict and you've got cash to spare, there is some good news. For just $5,400, you can spend six weeks making sure you go without sex or erotica
Pay heaps to NOT get laid. Wow, I don't think they should be expecting a stampede of people any time soon. *LOL*

"Are you a 'Sex Addict'" Different answers.

Getting to an age where the best answer might be "I wish".

That answer is based on the knowledge a pre-marriage ball. I'm still a big believer in sowing wild oats even if it's only memories now. I'm absolutely against marrying a virgin like I did and am in favour of living together before marriage. This has all got to do with the question.

I'd rather have a President that is addicted to sex as opposed to wars. On a personal note, I've always seen sex as a physical way to express one's love to another. To me sex is more than a futile dirty thing that I did so that hubby could get some sleep and I could feel more frustrated. I don't know why anyone would not like sex; it's loving, fascinating, fun, exciting, and low in calories

sex addiction is not recognized in the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders).
Actually, Under sexual disorders in the DSMIV, there is a section called Paraphilias. sex addiction could be classified under 302.9 Paraphilia NOS
Just my 2 cents.

I think I would be right in thinking that sex has been around for a long long time. We're agreed.
Drugs, drink and such would be relatively recent in comparison. There's no doubt that we can become addictive to these with special brain receptors. If we are built to have these receptors for these then what about sex? If it was beneficially to the species and we had these receptors, then surely using them for sex would be their number one benefit.

Being male, I can only use logic in this! Well, most males are receptive permanently with gaps that get longer as time goes by. (I like how that came out.) So to advance my theory further, we must rely on the ladies for their knowledge to advance this further - in the interest of science. Ha ha

No,accepting that we appear to have brain receptors for drugs, drink, and cigarettes and these would be new used relatively to the history of sex, the question is then, is it more likely or not that there are similar receptors for sex?

Well, I'm sure all of us have felt the "rush" of a feeling one gets from a really good kiss. My best description would be I felt like "melted butter" or I got "lost" while kissing. I mean something is definitely going on in the brain in the release of chemicals and and receptors and certain people would be more susceptible than others to crave the feeling the brain chemicals give them. Or they could just be horny, lol.
For instance, lets say you kiss your wife Righty and you feel her soft lips pressed against your own, and maybe there is a little tongue involved. If you want more does that make you a sex addict?
I don't think so.
Now we have the question, is there such a thing as too mu...
