wildcat says: Feynman envisioned, a general purpose, programmable quantum computer could itself carry out quantum simulations. But such machines are still decades away, most researchers say, while machines designed only for quantum simulations may become available sooner. Interesting. But always worth remembering that 'quantum physics' is a construct, and that the belief that symbolic concepts (ideas etc) reflect the structure of 'things' in a 'reality' which is 'out there' is somewhat out of date. The later Wittgenstein is a good starting point on this. It is based on the mathematical problem, very hard to seen in the method. ------------------------------------------- peer http://www.blazeinfotech.com |
