Many words are French! (alcove,massage...)!!!!!

clipan, yes it's true that some of the words entered the english language via french. however, you will find that they are not necessarily originally french words. for example, massage is arguably derived from either arabic or hindi (see http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?search=massage) and same goes for alcove (see http://www.yourdictionary.com/ahd/a/a0184900.html).
