When any president directs a staff member to ignore a legal order from congress, it sounds (in spirit if not law) treasonous to me. IMPEACH!!!

The problem with impeaching Bush is that then we'd have a BIGGER problem...Cheney.

He is asking someone who no longer is a member of the administration to break the law, that is to be in contempt of Congress. It could be that if Congress tried to enforce the subpoena they would have to go to the DoJ and Gonzales takes his orders directly from the WH and would not do it.
