Gratitude cannot be cultivated. That is materialist thinking and it is impossible for gratitude to exist in a materialist mindset. I guess you could cultivate contentment and thankfulness, but gratitude is an anti-materialist condition and would by nature be mutually exclusive.

Look at Materialist philosophy throughout history. Where in it do you find gratitude? You do not. You find the opposite in resentment, envy, authoritarianism and contrived equality.

I would think a Dr. of Psychology would be aware of this and my guess is that he is aware of it and that is why he is engaging in post-modernist hypothesis lobbing.

You cannot possibly, as evidenced by past comments, have even the most remote sense of the scope or breadth of Materialist Philosophy and Cultural Materialism. So, I will chalk your criticism up to your usual display of some acute complex.
