Senator Obama has shown an acute understanding of and deep record on each of those issues - cosponsoring the GI Bill, always supporting greater VA funding, backing the Webb-Hagel Dwell Time Amendment (unlike McCain) and writing the Homes for Our Heroes Act, which would take on veterans homelessness. I have to assume with no real history of judgment of her own on war, Palin will back John McCain's dismal judgment on military and veterans matters - endless war in Iraq, inability or unwillingness ... Wait we have seen Sarah Palin on TV. Her most famous quote: "Will someone please tell me what the Vice President does all day?" The Republican president of the Alaska State Senate, Lyda Green said of Palin: "She's not prepared to be governor. How can she be prepared to be vice president or president?" Obama also picking someone like Joe Biden to be his VP choice, while McCain picks Palin also shows a great difference in judgement. Will someone please tell me what exactly either Obama or Biden actually 'accomplished' - have either of them ever run a business, been responsible for a payroll, been anything other than a talking head whose main goal in life is to stay in office and tell others how to live their lives? I'll take McCain/Palin any day over Obama/Biden. McCain may not be perfect, in fact he's not even in the top three Republicans I would have chosen to run for president, but when the chips are down who do you trust your life to. That is the only question that matters. Will someone please tell me what exactly either Obama or Biden actually 'accomplished' - have either of them ever run a business, been responsible for a payroll, been anything other than a talking head whose main goal in life is to stay in office and tell others how to live their lives?
