If this is the "best" list readers could come up with then it certainly helps explain why America is the way it is at present

I checked out both lists at the source, and was immediately struck by two things: the far stronger representation of genre fiction on the reader's list and the prominence given on the reader's list to polemics thinly disguised as fiction.

Come on...Ayn Rand and L. Ron Hubbard in seven of the top ten spots?
