Would the guys at clipmarks sell to google if the price was right??

Clipmarks is more of Yahoo material than Google. But please Google, please.

I don't think it's logical to compare Clipmarks and Notebook. Both serve different needs and both have different features.

Regarding our business model, i have an idea that's been brewing in my mind for quite some time. it's kind of a catch 22 for us. of course we need to make money somehow...otherwise it's going to be impossible to keep going, stay competitive, innovate, etc. but i just can't devote 2 minutes to it when the user experience still has so much room for improvement.

we'll see. the vc's have been knocking lately and you can imagine how quickly they bring up biz model. the vc that truly understands that it's about creating a special, meaningful experience first and biz model second will be the vc that i'm willing to work with.

Sohil, as far as comparison of Clipmarks with Google Notebooks is concerned then...as I said before that it is more than a social bookmarking service...It is a mix of Google Notebooks, digg and del.icio.us

Regarding the business model....I agree to eric that it will be nice to have a good service first and then go for the biz model. Just my 2 cents.......whatever you do in the biz model...if you will share the revenue...with the users....you'll be able to capture a good userbase.
