So...the Pope was in the USA yesterday and one headline read: Pope Benedict XVI tells bishops to fight sexual abuse. http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/front/la-fg-pope17apr17,1,7325436.story And hundreds of children have been grabbed in Texas and removed from a religious compound because of a report of sexual abuses...a report which can not be confirmed and may have been a prank call. I support all the abusers going to jail but I sometimes feel the more well connected (white, rich, and mainstream) folks get away with more...and also that this is a Big Stick used to disgrace and discredit people. Like the saying goes .... If your not part of the solution your part of the problem. |
