So what’s a heathen to do in 2009
You can spend time thinking about what values are sacred to you and making New Year’s resolutions that are consistent with them.”

If people want to worship something, nature and the cosmos would be fine. They are everywhere and all can see one or the other, so faith isn't needed, just appreciation.
My behaviour has improved since leaving the church. Those constant reminders of what was bad/enjoyable, was like being constantly reminded that you are giving up smoking.
Just appreciating being alive and able to experience the joys of life (and coping with the worrying times) takes a lot of time well spent.

For me. I have my own views on this subject! - Spirituality is the key. Not religion as presented. Nature is the biggest cathedral in the world. As far as God goes, I ain't saying there ain't one! Just in case. I think I believe in God because he/she is the only one I tell my sins to. So I must believe I think! I don't know if this makes any sense!

@ofcapri:
I more or less agree with you. Lately I am getting more and more interested in (neo)paganism.
About god I have to say that there is probably none...
You can also confess your "sins" on this website: http://grouphug.us/
(I think it's kind of weird, but the website came to my mind when I read your comment)

I like ritual but I can't stand institutionalized religions, so I've been involved in the NeoPagan community for many years.
