it happen to me , but i was the ugly one,

My son met a woman online. He moved across the USA to be with her after they had talked in chat rooms, shared photos, and called and talked on the phone. She turned out (after being with her for over 2 years) to be a very controlling hypochondriac, and was always getting hurt (twisting/spraining her kankle - lol) and the like. Then she began pushing him into a commitment heading toward marriage. He broke up with her and moved back home. Lesson learned!

This unfortunate boy had way too large an expectation of what he would get on the internet. The web is NOT a dating service or a matchmaker!

I love to read or hear people's stories. I think we all have at least a million of them!
I can remember on one of Oprah's shows when she was astonished when she realized that everybody has a story. One of her "aha moments." Good grief!
