JackieDel, I am not a big animal lover, though I don't go around beating up helpless animals either. But what I can't understand is, with all this other important stuff going on in the world, like innocent people being slaughtered, why aren't you concerned about that kind of stuff. Just curious.

If you had read the article about the cruelty being inflicted on these beautiful and intelligent creatures by our own kind you would see that the way we treat animals is very much tied up with our own fate. In this case 32,000 dolphins slaughtered annually and sold as whale meat have 1,000 times the allowable level of mercury...which means that people are being poisoned.

Factory farming is intolerably cruel, but if the suffering of the animals doesn't bother you, then you should be concerned that meat production contributes significantly to global warming: A United Nations Food and ...

JackieDel, I admit it. I have not looked at this situation that deeply before. I am the type when I am not versed in a certain area, I shut up and listen, because I might learn something. So thank you for taking the time to respond to my comment.
