If you had read the article about the cruelty being inflicted on these beautiful and intelligent creatures by our own kind you would see that the way we treat animals is very much tied up with our own fate. Our planet is losing biodiversity of animal and plant species at an alarming rate. What will be the damage to our economies and societies when the majority of plant, trees, fish and animals are extinct? How will we manage for food, medicine, oxygen, pure water, carbon storage, soil fertilisation & crop pollination? We are utterly dependent on species diversity.

By not caring about other species you are directly contributing to the destruction of this planet. If you want your children to have a decent future it's probably about time you started making a stand for animals because they certainly can't do it for themselves!
