This incidentally coincides with the drastic reduction in wheat production in the US to opt for corn production due to demand for ethanol.

The US will not run out of food. It will get expensive and the implications for those around the world could be dire.

Global food prices have gone up 83% and futures suggest these prices will continue to spike upward.

Consider also the effect of oil prices that affect the cost of diesel for truck drivers, which also affects food prices.
