dmegivern says: I am kicking myself for not keeping up to date with the research on PCOS. Since I have it, I would have known to look sooner for sleep apnea. Since getting the CPAP machine, I have so much more energy. I also have PCOS and sleep apnea - I've had a CPAP for about 10 years now, and while I still tend to be tired a lot during the day, its nowhere NEAR as bad as it was before I got it. Wow, I have PCOS with a long history of wins and loses in the battle against the symptoms. I take Metformin, which helps restore my cycle, but I still struggle with weight gain. If I stick to a low-carb diet and exercise, I can reasonably lose weight and keep it off. However, I was so exhausted all the time that I could not get my bottom up to exercise. Now, I just got the CPAP, and it has helped a lot. You are right, it is not like a magic stimulant. I am still tired, but much less "in a fog" since starting the CPAP. |
