I really like buying organic products (especially meat, poultry and dairy) but it can be so expensive. Consumers have to vote with their dollars. For awhile there was a shortage of organic milk. Hopefully, this will inspire more farmers to produce organic milk. Organic chicken is really expensive (around $8 a pound)!! Good clip! I sure wish someone would do something concerning this. With the rage over obesity in children and the push to eat more healthy foods, you'd think our government would be more interested in making it more affordable. When 3 large apples cost as much as a bag of potato chips....well, you all know what I'm talking about. One of the first strikes against schools and nutrition was allowing the soda and snack vendors to plant thier vending machines all over school grounds. Good nutrition starts at home, but it is very difficult to watch your children eat and drink when you can't be there. |
