i had a totally different reaction to these than most of you. Maybe because I grew up in one of these.

I can understand your feelings reimers. But I went to my friend's church on Sunday for her and her husband to be baptized at the age fortyfive. I am not sure what kind of church you would call it, maybe evangelical. There were about three hundred people there, all ages and many races. A meal afterwards where I sat to a young man who was interested in quantum theory and theology and cosmology, great discussion and finally he admitted he is an atheist and he goes to bible classes. Everyone was happy, it was a great time. There are fundamentalists but we shouldn't let them frame our ideas.
