This will freak you out. Yes, there are a few documented cases of fathers lactating enough to feed their children. For the record, I haven't tried it, though there have been times when I wished I could.

No, i suspect I'm unusual. It's not for any real profound reason either. I am just envious of the fact that my wife can so easily soothe our newborn and I can't. When I'm alone with her and she's fussy, sometimes i just have to wait until my wife shows up before she'll calm down. It was the same way with my son.

enbar...it's not the same, but try a pacifier. When all else fails, put some honey, peanut butter, or (from my long deceased MIL) a splash of hot toddie on it...the pacifier that is :~) All the while rocking and quietly singing.
