It doesn't make a person an enemy of Israel to recognize what Menachem Begin recognized; that peace talks pretty much require that you talk to your enemies, rather than your friends, don't they?

I'm actually kind of an admirer of carter, but unfortunately his book shows his inability to admit his own bias, even to himself, despite a well-documented but little noted personal and financial history with Saudi wheelers and dealers, including the shady BCCI and its sibling, the overtly antisemitic Zayed Foundation. This makes him the mirror image of the "no talking to hamas" folks who can't admit their bias either, and undermines his qualifications as an honest broker.
