Most African-Americans do not support the war in Iraq. Even when young black people want to join, the ask their families before signing on the dotted line. Their families are convincing them that they have other options.

My own first-born is old enough to join and his step-father is in the Army and has been to Iraq 2x. We are both encouraging him to stay out of the military.

So who is to fight? I've been 3x, and sacrificed greatly, I might have orders for more.

Its sad that severely wounded service members are choosing to stay and fight because of the lack of support, and allot of us don't fit well back in normal life.

Even though you take the chance of facing death, you do everyday here in this country. Allot of people disagree with what is going on in Iraq, but from lesson's learned in our nation's past we can not just back out.

Saddam prepared for our coming after the first gulf war, it was hell over there, but it is allot different now.

I was wounded the first time around, shot in the leg with a bunch of other injuries.

I didn't ask to go to war, but that was just part of the time.

Same thing with you and Vietnam, which my father is a vet of.

I did lose allot of buddies other there, and the front lines are just as blurred sometimes as in your day.
