You'd imagine that an animal has its snout in muck would be a 'dirty' animal. Well I understand that in its habits the pig is a 'clean' animal. In particular it must have clean fresh water and only drinks once a day.

It also makes a great pet!

mc89 You always make my day. I once brought a pig home because the sow had 16 pigs and could not care for them all, she fit in the pocket of a flannel shirt. My mom fed her with a babydoll bottle, she was house trained, would sit, shake hands, get the mail from the mailman, fetch the newspaper, slept with the cats, ran with the beagle dogs, and wanted a hot bath every day with Johnsons baby shampoo. She lived to be 17 years old and I raised 12 litters of pigs with her. A very smart and loyal animal. The only reason pigs wallow is to keep cool and a defense from flies and insects.
