Teaching a child not to step on a caterpillar is as valuable to the child as it is to the caterpillar.Does this apply to countries too? I believe there is much more wisdom in this that on first reading. Johanna G - Dr Pangloss is mentioned on the page, and the url, and I didn't know who he was either. Wikki had him listed under fictional doctors, and a link went to Voltaire the French philosopher, and his work 'Candide' I put Voltaire in the title because I was sure more people knew about him than Dr Pangloss. The link to the story is on the clip.Dr Pangloss, seems to hold his optimism despite dire circumstances. The page isn't so much a quote generator, as it is a retriever. When the 'hit me again' link is clicked, another quote is retrieved, there is generally a reference to Dr Pangloss with the quote. Sometimes Titles have just seemed right at the time. |
