citizenbfk says: USA Attorney General says today he doesn't know if waterboarding is legal or not; This is the nations top lawyer. You'd figure he' have more of an opinion than: "I don't know." The AG also says: "We don't torture." This all the more outrageous because video tapes of USA torture/waterboarding were destroyed so they couldn't be evidence. Plus there are all the images of Abu Garaib prison all over the web. !? It's almost beyond words to describe but fortunately the basics will do: The USA Attorney General is deceptive. He is also not honorable, not true to his word. He is now part of the White House plot to cover up the very exsistence or admission of waterboarding. He's smirky. Gads. Our nation's top lawyer is smirky. I wish I could think of other words or phrases to describe this 'disconnect,' this "lack of coherence," in one's presentation, this clearly displayed dislocation between reality and legal charade shell game. Any other expresseion to describe this? Assholery! ...er....Obfuscationary diligence! But seriously, he musta made a deal with Bush/Cheney to keep this outta the courts. It might work and it might not. Maybe somebody in Congress will have some balls for once. What a worthless piece of shit! I mean there is excrement that is worth quite a bit, but he is not it! I thought I might post a thought here; errr....changed my mind. :~( Well...it actually is a challenge to find the right words to describe this. I keep thinking there's something in Alice in Wonderland. And not that I'm against #$%^!!#, BTW, but it is all the more of a challenge to describe it without curse words. Why without curse words? Because you will reach a larger audience. & Because it is a good mental challenge. The dude is an *sshole, though, 4sure. I tried the gentler approach. But what do you say when confronted with the banality of evil? Well, Shakespeare might have said about these odious White House politicians that "They are as a candle, the better burnt out," and that "they are unfit for anyplace but hell." I DON"T wish to imply I go around reading Shakespeare everyday, but a quick Google Search for "shakespeare insults" quickly brought up these two. He was also found of calling offensive people: toads, cowards, liars, untrustworthy, scullion, rampallian, frustilarian, etc. and were unworthy of society and shoud be beaten. It's a CHALLENGE, 4sure, and you do -- especially against banality -- have to whip the lash in deep, to have to make it sting and, indeed, if you do so it will be remembered better, spread wider and... Well... I was thinking about this again and it struck me that if I called Dick Cheney a warmonger or, even better, a war profiteer, that GIVE PEOPLE A ROAD TO CONSIDER. But when you use @#$%(%@** that is a dead end to though. That's when people start fighting, not thinking. Plus, calling someone a @#%$*&U@@@*&&!!# could mean you don't like the way they smell...or you don't like how they stepped on your toes...or you don't like how they cut you off in traffic...or you are annoyed because they grabbed the last piece of food from the table, etc...so...essentially...it doesn't describe or explain anything at all, just frustration. Although, as previously indicated, human situations do occur.... yanceducat: Maybe this comment is on topic: !? The USA court had to make it clear that freedom of speech doesn't mean you can shout: "FIRE!" in a crowded theater. Also it's against the law to threaten violence. I sure WISH there was a law against commercial advertising everywhere we look or think but such advertising has been granted 'protected status,' as Free Speech so attempts to limit it or moderate it or restrict of control it in any way haven't happened...although I like the policy I've seen in some countries where freedom of some things is ALLOWED...but that doesn't mean you can SHOUT THEM ALL AROUND TOWN. Advertising booze and pharmaceuticals all the time on TV, for example, ... |
