Here's my rant ONE MORE TIME. Thats all fine and good but it does nothing for us as a whole. Sure it will decrease the number of innocent people in jail. Decriminalizing pot will surely get a lot more people smoking it, including kids. Over time Mom and Dad won't feel the need to hide it like they do now. The REAL issue is kids.How do we keep our kids off drugs. This decriminalization is not the answer. It's told that pot leads to harder drugs but it doesn't. The enviornment pot is sold in leads to harder drugs. Most pot dealers deal the harder stuff. The answer is Cafe's, like in Amsterdam and parts of Canada. Adults can go in Cafe and get a buzz on. Over time this will cause the pot dealer to go out of biz. This will also put extra money in "The Gov's" pockets. That money can be used to crack down on hard drugs. If it's just decriminalised it's not going to be good. We will begin to see pot deals going down right out in the street. "Mommy what are those men doing over there?" "They're buying and selling pot honey" "Whats pot Mommy?" "It's something that used to be illegal and out of view, but now it's legal and it's EVERYWHERE!" It's going to make it too easy for the kids to get in there and take advantage of everything else the dealers have to offer. And God knows the last thing we need to do is let the government take control of it. I shiver to think what they will add too it to make it "better." Cafe's Cafe's Cafe's is the only way to make this work. Privately grown and imported.
