I suspect there is more to this than meets the eye.
There are several lawsuits and many people injured by taking supposedly 'natural' pills supplements and foods. Unfortunately, the general public will beleive anything that an infomercial tells them, and buy in hook, line and sinker.

Because many of these items hurting people are NOT regulated or subject to FDA or gov approval, this is most liekly where this came from.

this does not suprise me at all. do some research - alot of the natural herbs/remedies/vitamins/etc. can be harmful in large or improper doses. people don't know when to stop, and they don't follow the labels. for example, if you didn't read the label, would you know that st. john's wort renders birth control completely ineffective? i bet someone was really pissed when they found that out the hard way. i'm sure the regulations they are going to use are going to be loose and simple, otherwise all those "herbalife" activists are going to riot ^.^
