masbury says: People power may have lost the street - but it's only a temporary loss. The Iranian people are being hacked, axed and murdered as we clip---today being the bloodiest day yet: http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/ Please tell me you can watch these reports-- directly from the people in Iran --today---- and then tell me how "they are not afraid anymore". They have every reason to not only be absolutely afraid, but even terrified--- they are all on their own! Well, we could encourage them to revolt and promise them assistance - like we did the Hungarians in (I believe) 1958. Or the Shiites against Saddam after the 1st Gulf War. Or we could listen to what they''re telling us and stay the hell out of their country. Iran has been uprooted by America before; no one wants the US government involved except zealous but ill-informed Republicans. It would be the kiss of death on the reform movement. It's their country. They don't want Americans interfering any more than Americans would want the Iranian government interfering with the American Elections and Government. The Experts agree; Obama is doing the exact right thing in staying neutral. The loons can scream and wail for more American Bully tactics, but Obama knows that will just make things worse for Iran, and America. "they are not afraid anymore" - does not come 2 say they are not living in fear. it means they now act as if there is nothing 2 lose anymore! i hope the people of Iran have reached this irreversible point so a real transformation will take place. Dead on Darkeforce and Syncopath, you are both soooo right!!! They are being slaughtered like fish in a barrel. And--Anyone who thinks Obama has been "neutral on this" needs their head examined. Important to remember that this is the first time the Revolution has been seriously challenged. And the vast majority who did so are completely unscathed. It will take a few years, but Iran has realized the ultra-religious authoritarian regime is not invinceable, and is not democratic. The genie's out of the bottle, and it won't go back - unless the USA blunders into making the reform movement look pro-American - then all Iran will reject it. In 1968, when riots shook America (and police were bashing heads and making political arrests in every major city), would any side have wanted to look reliant on a foreign government? Would any of us have invited Iran to come help us? Hardly. It was ... Courage is about doing the right thing even if there's no guaranteed reward. It's not an absence of fear. Antara said:Spoken like someone who truly needs their head examined. Especially when it is makes absolutely no sense what so ever! Perhaps the comment about fear might have better used a different word - something like "cowed." The people are no longer cowed into submission. wt is correct, no true hero is without fear, for then heroism would take no courage. But in Iran, the genie is out of the bottle, and it will never go back. yeah right, they are being beaten, axed and slaughtered into submission.....I will take her word on the reality there over any of yours: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPJgZd7fRPs Note the parts, screamed in tears...."you should stop this, you should stop this, you should help the people of Iran who demand FREEDOM' She is right. And how do you propose to do that, exactly? No solutions, only wild, nonsensical accusations. what accusations? About Obama already choosing sides. Oh I see.....so what side is he on then ....??????? You brought it up, you tell me. *shakes head*......you are ridiculous. Talking to you is always a waste of time and is why I usually avoid it. ************************************************************* Recap: I posted this youtube of a terrified woman in Iran pleading for help and this was in answer to two claims: 1. Masbury saying the fear was over for Iranians--although he has now modified his use of the word fear to cowed (lol) 2. Dorkfarce the Canadian-who-hates-the-USA claiming the Iranians don't want or need American help. The world has seen what "side" Obama is taking, and most are disgusted. What do you think would help, Antara? You haven't answered any questions and your attacks in people really show your colors. When you bring some facts to the table you can join in with the grown ups at the big table, ummkay, Antara? "of". You offer no solutions and when challenged make illogical statements + ad hominens. In my book that is an EPIC FAIL! I applaud your patience Mas, but I'm afraid it is wasted on this one. The question was answered already-- and you both know it. Through my clips I think you have managed to grasp that I would like to see a much more forceful approach in both his attitude and his language. I would like to see him speak more to those battered and terrified Iranians and not be so cautious and appearing to be almost appeasing those who enslave them. Thankfully he has been moving towards a stronger stance, sadly it has come so late and seemingly only on the heels of worldwide criticism. And oh ya, the subject of this clip was Masbury claiming the Iranians no longer had fear.....not "what should Obama do", so accusing me of not answering questions is stupid and deceitful, but that ... Antara the Clueless. My best friends are are American. I want the best for America; that's hardly "hating". What I hate is people like you who want to drag America into fascism. I ask again; would you have wanted the Iranian government to come butting in when the vote was stolen by Bush in 2000? No, because it's none of Iran's business. Likewise, the situation in Iran is none of America's business. This is where the UN must lead, not America. Your caps are nothing but attempts to manipulate through hysteria; the typical tactic of losers and bullies. You're exposed what you really are, Antara. You're a bully who wants to impose your will over the entire world. I ask again; would you have wanted the Iranian government to come butting in when the vote was stolen by Bush in 2000This statement alone qualifies you for the loony bin. Please get help. Antara: how do you feel about the fact that many Iranian reformers have asked Obama not to speak more forcefully? Evasion. Answer the question. Or shut up, because you've got nothing of sense to say. Dorkfarce? I wouldn't even talk offline to any POS who holds the demented views you do (remember your recent : "all the American Military is good for is killing foreigners" comment) so I won't do it on here anymore either. You are scum of the first order. ************************************************************ Masbury, you and I see (thankfully) things very differently, so you will forgive me if I pass on anymore "dialogue" with you about Iran. Through our clips i think we both have a good idea of where things stand...no need to pretend otherwise The only reason I even bothered to comment on this clip was to point out how absolutely ridiculous a claim like "Iran: people are not afraid anymore" is. Mission accomplished. Antara; answer the question or shut up. Stop evading, like you slimy neocons always do. People like you make me violently sick. Don't you even care for your fellow man? Do you know what that makes you? A sociopath. So, sociopath. Stop trying to change the topic. Answer the question I asked, or shut up. |
