jklugman says: On this forum, a participant misuses statistics to show that bicycling is safer than driving. These statistics do not prove anything about the inherent safety of either mode of transportation. (the first comment is a sarcastic response by an anti-bicyclist commenting on a Philadelphia bicyclist who got critically injured by a car on a busy intersection). Well let me say this about that. I have a bike. I ride it. But I don't find the busiest highway and hit the road during rush our. I find myself dodging moronic cyclists during rush hour. So what do they think? Oh lets see...... "Hey Honey it's 5PM! Time for me to get out there on the main highway and see how many people can dodge me and my bike with their cars, trucks and SUV's before I get smacked by one of them and sent sailing into a power pole or hopefully into another moving vehicle!" "Okay dear, dinner should be ready around 7. I sure hope you don't die! It's your faaavoooriiiite! Arsenic and tofu with metal shavings salad." lol google, well said. I cycle every single day on Dublin's busy streets....and have for years. I don't even wear a helmet, but I don't cycle like Mad Max........never had a problem! "Learn to ride a bicycle. You will not regret it if you live. Great quote, debbyski! |
