blueridge says:
The language is very vague and the powers broad which would also create another "Czar" of Cybersecurity. (This Czar thing must end. Americans abhor dictators but the government increasingly creates them).

The plea of "necessity" again being used for dictatorial powers. The real danger is this: In an "emergency" the internet would be abuzz with people trying to find the truth, but all government powers of FREE PRESS AND FREE SPEECH through the world's largest free medium would be SHUT DOWN. All "news" and information regarding said event would be carried by the (very untrustworthy) MSM Networks and radio and print controlled by newswires. ONLY THE ALTERNATIVE MEDIA would be abolished then under the word of one man, a VIRTUAL DICTATOR.

The "official story" of the "emergency" would be the only thing published, perfect for propaganda and controlling all Americans.

What about VOIP phone service used by millions, including business?

Wonder what the reaction would have been to this if Bush was still in office? Partisan blinders are still in fashion apparently. Who cares who is in office with this policy!
