I think you guys are being too hard on Nanc... she's simply showing her compassion that she wants to help more people than live here... she must be talking about every single American and all of the illegal immigrants with their extended families. Come on people, she knows what's what...

I agree Sage - and everybody knows that 999% of Americans have trouble with numbers. We need stimulus so that people who don't understand math can be helped to know the difference between a billion idiots and a trillion of them.

Earlier in the week she made the same statement, and an interviewer corrected her -- "Do you mean 500 *thousand*" "Oh yeah, 500 thousand". (paraphrasing). Then a couple days later the presentation in that video. That's not "oopsie", that's histrionic alarmism aimed at people who don't know any better (i.e. "Democrats").

What you want from poor woman, when economic stimulus plan (Bush's infamous formerly bailout, remember?) now blazingly approaching trillion dollars?

Based on strider72 comment above - perhaps she's got a fetish for number 500 and just simply refuses to contemplate any other number? In other words - the additional zeros are of no consequence, as long as it's 500 something. Perhaps she can only do math based on 500 as the base to calculate from? All (in her case) seem fully plausible. As for the smarts, I think Strawman in the Wizard of Oz would've been a better (read: much better) choice... and that's before he made it to see the wizard.
