Einstein was in love with the wonder of the universe, exquisitivly sensitive te the 'spiritual sense' and the cosmic interconnectiveness of everything. He was also deeply aware of the the need for compassion among us, for love of every living creature on the planet. What Buddhists call 'loving kindness', Metta. (Of course, some may regard this as treasonable: certainly there are forces out there that would crucify someone for such a belief today).

I am a deeply religious nonbeliever. This is somewhat new kind of religion.
I have never imputed to Nature a purpose or a goal, or anything that could be understood as anthropomorphic.
What I see in Nature is a magnificent structure that we can comprehend only very imperfectly, and that must fill
a thinking person with a feeling of humility. This is a genuinely religious feeling that nothing to do with mysticism.
I don`t try to imagine a personal God;
it suffices to stand in awe at the structure of the world, insofar as it allows our inadequate senses to appreciate it
.

I guess this makes Albert Einstein an apatheist. Which is all the rage these days....

And that whole Kama Sutra thing just sealed the deal for him, I bet.
