omnivore
Point 1: We are all omnivores. Look at your teeth. the front ones are for cutting and tearing, (meat) and the back ones are for grinding. (nuts, grains, veggies)
Proper food combining of organically grown food will allow us to stay healthy and fit.
Point 2:It's the burps, not the farts that are the worst for methane.
What do you propose be done with the existing ruminants? Please remember that plant eaters include cows, goats, sheep, giraffes, antelope, elephants,(a big mathane producer) etc.
I suppose we could do what we did to 40,000,000 American Bison, and just kill them, although one of the justifications for that slaughter was leather belts to run the machines of the industrial revo...

I agree that we are omnivores. I agree that it doesn't matter what we eat.

okay fine whatever. think what you want to. i want to be compassionate and not cause suffering to other animals. and if at the same time that helps to take a step towards a healthier planet, then great.

and i agree that you can have a healthy diet including meat, but you can have an equally healthy and cruelty-free diet without it. i choose the cruelty-free one.

That is honorable. You may eat as you wish.
Just remember the Earth is a big place and the atmosphere is pretty big too. It also replenishes.
Volcanoes emmit more compounds into the atmosphere than we ever will and they have been around a lot longer than us.

we can't ask volcanoes to have a smaller ecological footprint so why are you mentioning them?

If you believe in Anthropogenic Global Warming and still eat meat, then YOU are Full of BS. If you believe this is a threat , then QUIT eating meat TODAY! It will have more of an impact than any socialist scheme.

I'll swap my MBEs (Methane Burp Exchanges) for your CEEs (Carbon Emission Exchanges)! Oh, and I'll trade my FCCs (Fewer Children Credits) for your ICAs (Ice Cream Allowances.) Here's a Zen Hug for everyone.
