I would have expected better from the Daily Mail. You do not have to be an Archaeologist to know that the skeleton would not be clutching a pint of beer or holding a type of beer mug. Grave goods of which this is, are buried at the feet of the dead. To jump from a grave with a skeleton and a pot in, to beer mug, to holding the said beer mug is lazy reporting and credits your readership with little or low interlect. Were I your editor you would have had your copy back with your UB40.
