B) You have fundamentally misinterpreted what the writer was saying. He says that the US anthem has "few jingoist platitudes about smiting our enemies or how god wants us to win". Few. As in "not many".

However, the first interaction we've ever had has started with you launching straight into insults like "you are very patriotic and I suppose you feel good about it, but you don't think clearly." That's not a productive approach if you're actually interested in discussing things.

(It's also utterly wrong, as you could have gathered from looking at the rest of my clips. I'm a lot more used to hearing things like "You're a flaming pinko-commie liberal" and "You criticize our government therefore YOU HATE AMERICA" than I am to hearing myself described as "patriotic".)
