This story is unbelievably astounding, to think the chickenhawks ordered up a war, an unnecessary war, sent our young, barely trained, people into it. Then, after much wartime physical and mental weariness, those who are still in one piece come home and take their place back into a society, they now are not familiar with. It's comparable to training dogs to a killing madness and after they've outworn their murderous usefulness, putting them up for adoption by unsuspecting families with children.
Most of the time, these depressing events are not tracked, so we as a whole, are unaware of their existence. MORE BELOW:

But with this recent disappearance of Lance Cpl. Maria Frances Lauterbach and then, the discovery of her remains and that of her unborn child we have a chilling example (a tip of the iceberg) of what is happening. Marine Cpl. Cesar Armando Laurean is a suspect in this case and this man, so out of touch with reality, is claiming that Lauterbach, who incidentally accused him of raping her, had committed suicide. He then psychotically, expects someone to believe that he burned and buried her remains. Take it as you may, but this to me, is yet another unadulterated horror, of which the chickenhawks, directly had a hand in!

Out of how many veterans? You see, that is important when it comes to just giving out raw totals. I saw where someone estimated the number of troops who had served over there and when divided by the number of murders it came out to a rate of about 7 per 100,000. The national average for males 18-24 is 26.5 per 100,000 and the average for males 25-34 is 13.5 per 100,000. So even if his estimate was twice the actual number of troops who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, then it is still about the same as the national average for males 25-34 and nearly half that for males 18-24. This is just another case of the media using raw numbers to show our military in as bad a light as possible.

n2soomers, You may be right, but I believe the average of murderers, you are comparing the military group to... never would have gotten into the military in the first place and the ones that did get in, as the claim in the military propaganda ads, are "THE BEST OF THE BEST" trained for killing... If it were not for signing up into the government's annihilating machine, most of these particular murders, committed by active and inactive veterans, would not have occurred. Anyhow, that's how I sadly see it...

Well, the numbers have been refined and since this covers a period of six years, and there are 1.5 million Iraq and Afghanistan vets, the actual number comes out well below 2 per 100,000. That is well under the national average which is over 5 per 100,000. Which is pretty much the opposite of what this story is trying to make everyone believe is happening.
