A world without god (gods) is impossible.
We will always want to blame somebody else for our failings.
God is a very useful invention.
If it doesn't exist, no problem. If it does exist we will be forgiven.

But which god to believe in? Most of them are very jealous. You certainly won't be forgiven by the christian god if you believe in Zeus or Allah, for example.

No, we don't care what anybody believes. We just "have a dream" of living somewhere where we can carry on with our lives free from Christian dominance and oppression.
