That's what all libs say. They made communism a joke, they made racism aj oke, now they make war crimes a joke. Ignorant BS.

Let's assume for a second that there's some truth to this (although I'd like to see exactly how such info can be gathered under the circumstances). Israelis mostly kill hezbollah and partially civilians... which according to HRW is a war crime. Where does that put hezbollah which targets nobody but civilians? Is HRW accusing them of war crimes? Or does it only apply to Israel... according to HRW (which must stand for Horrible Reasoning of War).

Hezbollah is already seen as a terrorist organization by most of the civilized world. Accusing a terrorist of a war crime is like accusing Lance Bass of being gay. It's known.

Israel on the other hand is a nation, with responsibilities to it's people and those of the rest of the world. They are saying they are in the right, that this war on Hezbollah is just. The issue is not that they are killing members of Hezbollah, but that they are killing Lebanese civilians, and in some cases it "looks" like it is done with utter disregard.

Lets add to the crimes.. and new one.. happened couple of hours ago.. 33 civilians died.. they are located north of lebanon.. far from Hizbullah strongholds.

@RS

Actually out of 800 lebanese who were killed less than 50 are hizbullah militants. Fix your data.

@CatW
Only the US and Israel consider Hizbullah terrorist group
Are you actually saying that only The US and Israel civilized? and other are third world or barbaric?

Hezbollah are a bunch of terrorist thugs. That's obvious to most of the world.

kmcolo,

So its obvious to most of the world that hizbullah is terrorist group.. but the world (e.g. europe) is afraid of labeling Hizbullah as terrorist group?

That Europe fears something is hardly surprising.

I'd call random rocket fire into Israel terrorism. You may not, but I do.

kmcolo...

Ok, based on your definition,

The US is a terrorist state,, they have rokected and attacked civilians many many times in Iraq, and Afghanstan..

@Catwhisperer - silly analogy... it's like saying if a soldier kills you - he should be held responsible, because that's what soldiers do, but if I kill you, as a civilian - I should get a pass, since that's not what I normally do.

@essamz - did you count personally that only 50 hezbollah militants/terrorists/whatever were killed? We will look at the numbers once the dust settles... although the relevant thing to prevent this is to disarm hezbollah and be done with the whole thing permanently.

I think essamz is right. The last I heard, Israel was claiming to have killed only a hundred Hezbollah militants, the Lebanese civilian death toll was much higher than that at the time.

(although I do agree with kmcolo that the actions of Hezbollah are indefensable, as are the actions of Israel)

jklugman, you could make exact same comment, for exact same reason about WW2 - the German's actions were indefensable and so were the Russians, since they leveled cities, killed civilians like there's no tomorrow etc. That could be stated about ANY war.

This war is run by Iran, we all know what the Iranian napoleon says on the subject and that's where the rub lies. They were looking for this conflict, they were getting ready for this conflict for 6 years and now they're testing the waters using their pawns, aka hezbollah... They use civilian areas to store and shoot from and thus civilians die.

kmocolo appears to be totally anti-war and thus condeming both sides... no question that it'...
