Eddie Jordan has a prestigious law degree and he is a former United States Attorney. You mean to tell me that he can’t go out and pound the pavement and find himself a job? It looks like the New Orleans Police and Justice Foundation has been talked into giving him a “consultant gig,” with the salary to be donated by local businesses. How is this any different from Tony Soprano’s “garbage consultants,” who sit in the landfill all day in lawn chairs, making bets on their cell phones? Does anyone really believe Eddie Jordan has anything meaningful to contribute on the subjects of police and justice? Who in the police department is even going to talk to him? Is this a non-profit foundation?
