And they are fat too.

Could their be any correlation with the fact kids no longer play outside? Even in smalltown USA?

Crazy. Do your kids bodies and minds a favor, kick their a*ses outside everyday.

It was good enough for my parents, and it's good enough for my kids too.

There is also strong evidence that cancer patients are more likely, than not, grossly deficient in Vit D.

Maybe instead of spending thousands on health care and gym memberships, we should just go outside in the sunshine, sans sunscreen and take a walk.

My nieces and nephews don't see a ray of sunshine all day, all summer....video games, computer games, etc....I don't think they know how to ride a bike...

How sad is that!

We have replaced an important part of our development with mindless pursuits.

Our society has the most information ever available and we won't be developed enough to understand it.

And the government spends billions trying to figure out why kids are fat.

Television became stand-in parents for kids born in the 1970's. When they became adults, they continued the practice and now it's tradition. In my country (U.S.), most people consider "nature" as other. For the most part we live surrounded by our machines, in artificial habitats, mentally detached from our bodies, each other and the rest of reality. It's an easy illusion to buy into since our culture rewards such behavior. The majority of humans here, probably spend less than 2 hours out-of-doors per week, and most of that is transferring from one enclosed habitat to another. We wouldn't know reality if it bit us on the ankle.

Health Spectator (http://healthspectator.com) has an article on vitamin D that's worth a read (it's called, "Vitamin D, the versatile vitamin").

It will tell you some of the many diseases attributed to vitamin D deficiency (did you know, for example, that includes diabetes, MS, and Alzheimer's?) and what you need to do to avoid them.

I already know (and use) vitamin D religiuosly, just ignore the FDA recommendations that are too low to help anyone from anything.

I am also having great success with iodine, silver and raw, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar.

After being plagued my entire adult life with strep, kidney infections and allergies, I have cured myself, stayed away from the docs and am the healthiest ever.

Our new Food Safety Act is going to take away all the natural products and force us into using chemicals and pills from pharmaceuticals.

That is the ultimate goal of health care, higher tax revenues from pharms and sickness for all.

The government is corrupted and vile, the citizens have been undereducated to the point of not knowing how to find any truth. Scary things are happening and all are avoiding it.
