There is a time lag between awareness and trends. I remember querying the official UK inflation rate about 6 months ago, drawing attention to the wholesale price of wheat globally. What is worrying is that in UK and USA, the governments now seem ahead of what is to come, as if preparing the general consciousness for the worst.
