There are some wonderful stories out there. 7,000 operations per year is a great start -- there's lots more room in the sea for hundreds of these ships.

I have so much admiration for these people. The work they do alleviates an untold amount of misery and suffering. Anyone who donates their time, effort and energy to the poorest of the poor has my utmost respect. The western world hasn't a clue what real poverty is until they visit a 3rd world country, or continent, as in the case of Africa. And extreme poverty coupled with ill health makes life almost untenable for millions. Hats off to those who help!
