I agree totally. All true. And all been done before, over and over again. The blantant awarding of 'no-bid" contracts to companies like Blackwater and Haliburton is a pure giveaway of cash. So even the most basic safeguard and provision of At Least trying to curb corruption of contractors --- asking for bids -- is ignored.

As far as the question of will the elections in 08 make a difference I can only say I hope so and I vote so...even if the vote comes down to nothing more that voting for: "a lesser of two evils."

USA political structure is more of a stacked deck than a parlimentarian system...so eventually some changes have to be made to break the death grip of the two-party system; but ...

Kick Republican Butt and I'll feel good about contributing to that. That will be a clear change and challenge to the status quo; a 'wake-up' call and real shift in power.

Then hopefully we can move on from there.

P.S. -- This is pretty much a safe bet, BTW. Republicans are going down the tubes. The party, hopefully, will be so crippled it may even cease to exist...although...alas...the neo-cons, corrupt corporations, zionist extremist, evangelical so-called christians, etc. will all rush to put on another mask, wave the flag, praise god, and steal money and spill blood all for their own special interests, profit and greed
