I like del.icio.us also, but Clipmarks is more expansive, useful, and social. Plus on Clipmarks you can capture media and post to your blog. MSNBC.com just acquired Newsvine.com for about $75 million. Citizen journalism going mainstream. Neochonetes- I agree. What's cool about Clipmarks too is that it is a lot more searchable than Del.icio.us. So if you bookmark coverage- it will also come up high in search. Essentially you will own your search result page and fill it with the actual and the clipped content. What's cool about Clipmarks too is that it is a lot more searchable than Del.icio.us. So if you bookmark coverage- it will also come up high in search.Could you explain this some more. @righthand I've found that because there are so many interactive features on Clipmarks like popping, commenting, tagging, following... Google picks up my clips much higher in search results pages than del.icio.us. (Have other user found this to be true as well?) Julia's post about del.icio.us was about tracking coverage for PR clients. To track and increase the likelihood that the bookmarked content can easily be found by doing a simple Google search of clients' names, I would recommend bookmarking on Clipmarks and del.icio.us ... Also, Clipmarks has an "add to del.icio.us" feature built in to clipped content. It would be cool to Clip first and then use that button to distribute to your del.icio.us page. Yes, the add to del.icio.us, digg and others is great. |
