Godfrey Daniel says: Represent! i've left two comments with Clipmarks recommenation, but for some reason they aren't posting. Anyone else? did you go to your email to verify? I don't use these types of services, is that bad? I wasn't instructed to go to my email to verify, but I just did and no email from them. I was instructed to and went to my email and it was in the junk mail bin. I didn't click on verifying it and it still isn't there so I'm not sure. Ohhh I just checked and it's there now. I didn't know what to say so I'm sure you can be much more convincing and computer-eloquent. Very odd, Wudzie. I may try again. I don't like having to jump through hoops simply to leave a comment though. edit: ...Wurdzie SEE! Clipmarks needs to allow us to edit our comments. I usually don't realize that the hoop is there until I've already jumped through it. I'm in therapy for that now by the way. Therapy is a hoop. You're right, wurdzgurl - I've been begging CM team for ages now to add comments edits after the fact. They've implemented all kinds of enhancements under the sun and yet - no comment editing. Either they have other priorities or it's some anti-ex-Russian thing... I managed to leave a comment - took several screen refreshes after clicking the email link. Great clip, Mr Daniel GD! See you've just pointed out yet another hoop. I'm in worse shape than I thought I was initially! Record - I think they just like to see our errors and remind us that as humans we truly are fallible. I, too, wanted comment editing. Then I realized, If we edit our comments, the following comments would be out of context. Then, we'd all sound like we're nuts. But, then it'd be nice to be able to go back and correct typos.."if", not "If". Can't believe I made the same typo twice in a row. We really need to slow down a bit, pause after composing, and allow the brain to shift out of composition mode. In reading mode typos stand out like they're lit up for me, but in composition mode they're often invisible. Even though I'm aware of this, and try to work on it and be more conscious of it, there still remains a significant difference in my perception in the different modes. I think GD makes a very good point about slowing down. It usually takes me re-reading something 2-3 times before I actually get to sound decent. Even then there is a good chance that I've made some horrible grammatical error or error of punctuation. Like my "phornography" instead of "pornography" in a Title? :+( How embarrassing. I commented, but the comment activation mail doesnt come... Grmpff. Same thing happened to me in repeated attempts, Herr Nana. I gave up. Wow. Finally I received the link today... |
